The Hawk Trailer and Key Art Featuring Will Ferrell
Netflix has released the official trailer and key art for the upcoming comedy series The Hawk, starring Will Ferrell as golf legend Lonnie “The Hawk” Hawkins alongside a cast that includes Molly Shannon, Jimmy Tatro, Fortune Feimster, and Luke Wilson.
In The Hawk, Lonnie Hawkins (Ferrell), 2004’s number one golfer, struggles on the back nine of his career to recapture his magic. His body says retire, but his heart says he’s not done yet.

His ex-wife and his son, Lance, golf’s new golden boy, know he’s through. But with one more major to win to complete golf’s Grand Slam, Lonnie refuses to believe he’s anything other than one stroke away from the greatest comeback in golf history.
The 10-episode series, which also stars Chris Parnell, Katelyn Tarver, and David Hornsby, will premiere on Netflix on July 16, 2026. The series is produced by the PGA Tour.

Will Ferrell, Jessica Elbaum, and Alix Taylor are executive producers for Gloria Sanchez Productions. Rian Johnson, Ram Bergman, and Nena Rodrigue are executive producers for T-Street. Chris Henchy, Harper Steele, David Gordon Green, and Andrew Guest also serve as executive producers for the Netflix series.
Lonnie “The Hawk” Hawkins has been making his rounds – from the World Golf Hall of Fame in Pinehurst, NC, to The Big Apple, making waves in the Hamptons, to the Travelers Championship in Connecticut, where he not only surprised fans but also stopped to talk shop with fellow golf superstars Rickie Fowler, Harris English, and Tony Finau. The Hawk stars will also be the first guests of Hot Ones: Extra Heat.
