The Hawk Teaser and First-Look Photos Released
Today, Netflix released the teaser and first-look photos for the upcoming comedy series The Hawk, starring Will Ferrell as Lonnie “The Hawk” Hawkins. This number one golfer is joined by Molly Shannon, Jimmy Tatro, Fortune Feimster, and Luke Wilson in this epic return of an icon.
Consisting of 10 episodes, The Hawk premieres globally on Netflix Thursday, July 16, 2026.
Lonnie Hawkins, 2004’s number one golfer, struggles on the back nine of his career to recapture his magic. His body says retire, but his heart says he’s not done yet.
His ex-wife and his son, Lance, golf’s new golden boy, know he’s through. But with one more major to win to complete golf’s Grand Slam, Lonnie refuses to believe he’s anything other than one stroke away from the greatest comeback in golf history.
The Hawk cast includes Will Ferrell (Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga) as Lonnie “The Hawk” Hawkins, Molly Shannon (Saturday Night Live, The Other Two) as Stacy, Jimmy Tatro (The Real Bros of Simi Valley, American Vandal) as Lance, and Fortune Feimster (FUBAR, The Mindy Project) as Sam.
The cast also includes Luke Wilson (Legally Blonde) as Golden Fisk, Chris Parnell (30 Rock, Fallout) as Anton, Katelyn Tarver (Ballers, Famous in Love) as Natalie, David Hornsby (Mythic Quest, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) as Radford, Gabriel Hogan (Tacoma FD, Condor) as Jerry, and Aida Osman (Rap Sh!t, Random Acts of Flyness) as Crystal.
Will Ferrell, Jessica Elbaum, and Alix Taylor are executive producers for Gloria Sanchez Productions; Rian Johnson, Ram Bergman, and Nena Rodrigue are executive producers for T-Street, and Chris Henchy, Harper Steele, David Gordon Green, and Andrew Guest also serve as executive producers.
The PGA Tour is a partner on the series, which is Ferrell’s first television comedy.
