The Hawk: Will Ferrell Comedy Debuts on Netflix in Summer 2026
Netflix has announced The Hawk, a 10-episode series starring Will Ferrell as golf legend Lonnie “The Hawk” Hawkins, who has his eye on the PGA Tour.
There are plenty of GOATs, but only one Hawk. Lonnie Hawkins, 2004’s number one golfer, struggles on the back nine of his career to recapture his magic. His body says retire, but his heart says he’s not done yet.
His ex-wife and his son, Lance, golf’s new golden boy, know he’s through. But with one more major to win to complete golf’s Grand Slam, Lonnie refuses to believe he’s anything other than one stroke away from the greatest comeback in golf history.
Hawkins is bringing along his entire entourage: son Lance, a pro golfer in his own right; estranged wife Stacy; Lance’s fiancée, social-media influencer Natalie; and new caddie Sam.
Of course, there are still old rivals left to vanquish: Golden Fisk, the pro golfer who’s beaten Lonnie twice; PGA Tour board member Anton; even Stacy’s new beau, Radford. No one ever said this would be easy.
This Saturday, keep your eyes on the fairway at The Players Championship… because Lonnie Hawkins’ biggest fans are waking up—and they’re ready to make some noise.
The Hawk cast includes (Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga) as Lonnie “The Hawk” Hawkins, Molly Shannon (Saturday Night Live, The Other Two) as Stacy, Jimmy Tatro (The Real Bros of Simi Valley, American Vandal) as Lance, and Fortune Feimster (FUBAR, The Mindy Project) as Sam.
The cast also includes Luke Wilson (Legally Blonde, The Royal Tenenbaums) as Golden Fisk, Chris Parnell (30 Rock, Fallout) as Anton, Katelyn Tarver (Ballers, Famous in Love) as Natalie, David Hornsby (Mythic Quest, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) as Radford, Gabriel Hogan (Tacoma FD, Condor) as Jerry, and Aida Osman (Rap Sh!t, Random Acts of Flyness) as Crystal.
Will Ferrell, Jessica Elbaum, and Alix Taylor are executive producers for Gloria Sanchez Productions; Rian Johnson, Ram Bergman, and Nena Rodrigue are executive producers for T-Street, and Chris Henchy, Harper Steele, David Gordon Green, and Andrew Guest also serve as executive producers.
The PGA Tour is a partner on the series, which is Ferrell’s first television comedy.
