Hot Ones: Extra Heat to Premiere on Netflix July 13
Today, Netflix announced that Hot Ones: Extra Heat will premiere exclusively on Netflix beginning July 13. The new series kicks off with its first episode debuting immediately following Netflix’s 8 p.m. EST live stream of the T-Mobile Home Run Derby.
Hot Ones: Extra Heat brings the critically-acclaimed Hot Ones interview format out of the studio and into the world’s biggest cultural moments. Hosted by Sean Evans, each 30-minute special brings the signature 10-wing challenge and deeply researched conversations to unique on-location settings inspired by major tentpole moments on Netflix—from live sporting events to film and series launches.

Along the way, Sean and his guests take part in exclusive segments tailored to each destination, with surprise appearances adding even more heat. Designed as an extension of the ongoing YouTube series, Hot Ones: Extra Heat brings the show’s unmistakable blend of spice and substance directly into the must-watch events everyone will already be talking about.
The first set of guests will include Will Ferrell, Fortune Feimster, and Jimmy Tatro, who star in the upcoming Netflix comedy series The Hawk.

The executive producers include Sean Evans, Chris Schonberger, Sarah Honda, and Aaron Cooke. K.P. Anderson is the showrunner and also executive produces. The production company is Digital Cinema Collective.
“As a student of the late-night genre, I’m obsessed with the art of the interview and believe that these conversations warrant a level of scale and spectacle that sometimes can’t be contained by a studio,” said Sean Evans.

“It’s exciting to partner with Netflix to continue to break new ground with the format, while keeping the core of what fans love about Hot Ones firmly intact.”
“First We Feast has a decade-plus track record of delivering fresh interview formats and break-through moments with celebrities,” added Chris Schonberger, creator of Hot Ones and CEO of First We Feast. “It’s a thrill to continue to push the envelope with Netflix and bring the power of Hot Ones to some of the biggest, most culturally impactful moments on the service.”
