The Paper Season 2 Given the Green Light

Peacock has ordered a second season of its highly anticipated new comedy series The Paper. The series will premiere on Peacock on Thursday, September 4.

In the tradition of The Office, which is one of the most binged series of all time, The Paper will drop all 10 episodes at once so fans can enjoy the entirety of the show at their convenience.

In The Paper, the documentary crew that immortalized Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch in the Emmy Award-winning series The Office finds a new subject when they discover a historic Midwestern newspaper and the publisher trying to revive it.

The series comes from creators, writers, and executive producers Greg Daniels (The Office) and Michael Koman (Nathan for You) and Universal Television.

The cast includes Domhnall Gleeson (Ex Machina, About Time), Sabrina Impacciatore (The White Lotus), Chelsea Frei (Poker Face, The Cleaning Lady), Melvin Gregg (American Vandal, Snowfall), and Gbemisola Ikumelo (Black Ops, A League of Their Own).

Alex Edelman (Just for Us, Unfrosted), Ramona Young (Never Have I Ever, Santa Clarita Diet), Tim Key (The Witchfinder, This Time with Alan Partridge), and Oscar Nuñez (The Office, The Proposal) round out the cast.

Greg Daniels, Ken Kwapis, Yana Gorskaya, Paul Lieberstein, Tazbah Chavez, Jason Woliner, Jennifer Celotta, Matt Sohn, Dave Rogers, and Jeff Blitz are the directors. The studio is Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.
