Peacock Sets Date for The Paper From The Office Creators

Peacock has announced that The Paper will premiere with four episodes on September 4, followed by two new episodes every Thursday through September 25.

The series comes from creators, writers, and executive producers Greg Daniels (The Office) and Michael Koman (Nathan for You) and Universal Television.

In The Paper, the documentary crew that immortalized Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch in the Emmy Award-winning series The Office finds a new subject when they discover a historic Midwestern newspaper and its publisher’s attempt to revive it.

The cast of The Paper includes Domhnall Gleeson (Ex Machina, About Time), Sabrina Impacciatore (The White Lotus), Chelsea Frei (Poker Face, The Cleaning Lady), Melvin Gregg (American Vandal, Snowfall), and Gbemisola Ikumelo (Black Ops, A League of Their Own).

Alex Edelman (Just for Us, Unfrosted), Ramona Young (Never Have I Ever, Santa Clarita Diet), Tim Key (The Witchfinder, This Time with Alan Partridge), and Oscar Nuñez (The Office, The Proposal) round out the cast.

The guest stars include Eric Rahill, Tracy Letts, Molly Ephraim, Mo Welch, Allan Havey, Duane Shepard Sr., Nate Jackson, and Nancy Lenehan.

The executive producers include Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant, Howard Klein, Ben Silverman, and Banijay Americas (formerly Reveille).

Greg Daniels, Ken Kwapis, Yana Gorskaya, Paul Lieberstein, Tazbah Chavez, Jason Woliner, Jennifer Celotta, Matt Sohn, Dave Rogers, and Jeff Blitz are the directors. The studio is Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.
