Street Fighter First Look From The Game Awards
The stars of Street Fighter surprised the audience at The Game Awards on Thursday to debut the first sneak peek at the upcoming feature film. 17 character posters for the video game adaptation were also revealed.
Helmed by director Kitao Sakurai, Street Fighter is set to bring the battle from the arcade to the big screen with Hadoukens, roundhouses, and all your favorite characters. The film will open in theaters on October 16, 2026.

In attendance were Noah Centineo (Ken Masters), Andrew Koji (Ryu), Callina Liang (Chun-Li), Joe “Roman Reigns” Anoai (Akuma), David Dastmalchian (M. Bison), Cody Rhodes (Guile), Andrew Schulz (Dan Hibiki), Vidyut Jammwal (Dhalsim), Orville Peck (Vega), Olivier Richters (Zangief), Rayna Vallandingham (Juli), Mel Jarnson (Cammy), and Jason Momoa (Blanka).
The film also stars Eric André as Don Sauvage, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson as Balrog, Hirooki Goto as E. Honda, Alexander Volkanovski as Joe, and Kyle Mooney as Marvin.
Set in 1993, estranged Street Fighters Ryu (Andrew Koji) and Ken Masters (Noah Centineo) are thrown back into combat when the mysterious Chun-Li (Callina Liang) recruits them for the next World Warrior Tournament: a brutal clash of fists, fate, and fury.
But behind this battle royale lies a deadly conspiracy that forces them to face off against each other and the demons of their past. And if they don’t, it’s GAME OVER!
Directed by Kitao Sakurai, the Street Fighter movie is presented by Paramount Pictures and Legendary Pictures. The Legendary production is based on the Capcom video game.
The film’s executive producers include JJ Hook, Jay Ashenfelter, Kenzo Tsujimoto, and Haruhiro Tsujimoto. The producers include Mary Parent, Cale Boyter, Jason Momoa, Takayuki Nakayama, and Stefan Makhoul.
