Animated John Wick Film to Be Voiced by Keanu Reeves

Lionsgate has greenlit its highly anticipated upcoming animated John Wick film, with Keanu Reeves inking a deal to reprise his signature role as the iconic assassin in the billion-dollar franchise.

The animated feature will be produced by the John Wick producing team of Thunder Road’s Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee, 87Eleven Entertainment’s Chad Stahelski, and Keanu Reeves, and will be joined in the new feature by Point Grey.

Emmy Award-winning producer, writer, and director Shannon Tindle (Ultraman: Rising, Kubo and the Two Strings) will direct. He is represented by UTA and attorney Alexandra Andrews.

The project is written by Ryan & Kaz Firpo. They are represented by CAA, Untitled, and Miles Metcoff at Morris Yorn.

As previously announced, the animated John Wick film will go back in time to tell the story of John Wick before the first film, as he completes the Impossible Task in order to free himself from his obligation to the High Table and earn the right to be with the love of his life, Helen.

A release date for the film has not yet been revealed by Lionsgate.
