The Rockford Files Sets January 2027 Premiere Date

NBC has revealed the premiere date for The Rockford Files, starring David Boreanaz. The series will have a preview airing on January 2nd immediately following NBC’s Saturday NFL game at 5 pm PT / 8 pm ET and a time-period premiere on January 7th at 8 pm on NBC.

The Rockford Files is a contemporary update on the classic series of the same name. Newly paroled after serving time for a crime he didn’t commit, James Rockford returns to his life as a private investigator, using his charm and wit to solve cases throughout Los Angeles.

It doesn’t take long for his quest for legitimacy to land him squarely in the crosshairs of both local police and organized crime.

The series stars David Boreanaz, Michaela McManus, Ilfenesh Hadera, and Jacki Weaver. Writer Mike Daniels executive produces with Carl Beverly, Sarah Timberman, and David Hudgins.

Inspired by the iconic voicemail of the original series, NBC has also unleashed The Rockford Files hotline at (760) JIM-ROCK. You can call to hear a message from star David Boreanaz and sign up for text message updates from the show.
