War Machine Trailer and Key Art Featuring Alan Ritchson
Netflix has released the trailer and key art for the upcoming sci-fi action film War Machine, directed by Patrick Hughes and starring Alan Ritchson.
War Machine is set during the final stage of US Army Ranger selection, when an elite team’s training exercise turns into a fight for survival against an unimaginable threat.

The movie, which will launch on Netflix on March 6, 2026, has been rated R by the MPA for strong violence, grisly images, and language. Hughes and James Beaufort wrote the script.
Alan Ritchson (Reacher) plays 81, who leads a squad that includes Dennis Quaid, Stephan James, Jai Courtney, Esai Morales, Blake Richardson, Keiynan Lonsdale, and Daniel Webber.

War Machine is produced by Todd Lieberman and Alexander Young of Hidden Pictures, alongside Patrick Hughes and Greg McLean of HUGE FILM, with Rich Cook of Range serving as producer, and Valerie Bleth Sharp as executive producer.
Principal photography for the film began on September 16, 2024, in Victoria, Australia. Filming wrapped on December 14, 2024.

Patrick Hughes is an Australian filmmaker best known for directing and screenwriting Red Hill (2010), The Expendables 3 (2014), The Hitman’s Bodyguard (2017), and The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard (2021).
Alan Ritchson’s TV credits include Smallville, Blue Mountain State, Blood Drive, Titans, and Reacher. He has also starred in the 2014 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot and its 2016 sequel, and has appeared in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Lazer Team, and Fast X.
