The Beast in Me Season 2 Greenlit by Netflix
Netflix today announced the return of The Beast in Me for a second season, with executive producer, writer and co-showrunner Howard Gordon, and with executive producer Claire Danes reprising her Emmy-nominated role as Aggie Wiggs.
Netflix and Gordon have forged a creative partnership under which he will develop new series exclusively for Netflix through his Teakwood Lane Productions banner.
Gabe Rotter is the creator of the series, which is executive produced by Howard Gordon, Daniel Pearle, Antonio Campos, Caroline Baron, Amy Lippman, Gabe Rotter, Conan O’Brien, David Kissinger, Jeff Ross, Claire Danes, and Jodie Foster.
“We always told ourselves we’d only do a second season of ‘The Beast in Me’ if we found a story that was worthy of the first – and I’m thrilled to say we found it,” said Howard Gordon.
Gordon continued, “We loved making this show and our audience seemed to love watching it, so we’re enormously grateful to Jinny Howe and Netflix, and to Karey Burke and 20th Television for giving us the chance to get the band back together and do it again.”

The series was a major awards-season contender, earning 21 nominations across the industry’s top honors, and recently winning two Emmy Awards, including Matthew Rhys’ historic win for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie, and Outstanding Music Composition for a Limited or Anthology Series, Movie or Special (Original Dramatic Score).
