Pride and Prejudice First Look with Emma Corrin and Jack Lowden
Netflix has released the first teaser for its forthcoming Pride and Prejudice series, featuring Elizabeth Bennet (Emma Corrin) and Mr. Darcy (Jack Lowden).
In a year rife with regency drama for loyal fans, Pride and Prejudice will join the yearn-aissance in the Autumn to faithfully bring Jane Austen’s iconic story back to life for audiences that cherish it, whilst inspiring a new generation to fall in love with it for the first time.
When the full cast was revealed during production, writer and producer Dolly Alderton said, “Once in a generation, a group of people get to retell this wonderful story, and I feel very lucky that I get to be a part of it. Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice is the blueprint for romantic comedy – it has been a joy to delve back into its pages to find both familiar and fresh ways of bringing this beloved book to life.
“With Euros Lyn directing our stellar cast, I am so excited to reintroduce these hilarious and complicated characters to those who count Pride and Prejudice as their favourite book, and those who are yet to meet their Lizzie and Mr Darcy.”
Eagle-eyed fans in the UK took to social media last week after spotting the teaser playing on the big screen ahead of Wuthering Heights.
Pride and Prejudice, one of the most iconic novels of all time, is coming to Netflix as an all-new 6-part limited series. The series will be a faithful, classic adaptation of the novel, written by Dolly Alderton (Everything I Know About Love) and directed by Euros Lyn (Heartstopper), launching in Autumn 2026.
The executive producers include Laura Lankester, Will Johnston, and Louise Mutter for Lookout Point, as well as Dolly Alderton and Euros Lyn. Emma Corrin also joins as executive producer, marking their debut in the role. Lisa Osborne is the producer.
