Heartstopper Movie to Wrap Up the Netflix Series
Netflix has today (on the third anniversary of the launch of season one) announced that a Heartstopper movie will wrap up the fan-favorite series.
After three seasons of the series, the much-anticipated final installment will conclude the story of Nick, Charlie, and their friends, with the narrative based around the yet unreleased volume six of Alice Oseman’s graphic novels.

Wash Westmoreland (Still Alice, Colette) joins as director, with lead actors Kit Connor and Joe Locke also serving as executive producers. Production on the Heartstopper movie will begin this summer.
“I am completely overjoyed that we will get to tell the end of the Heartstopper story,” said creator and writer Alice Oseman, “I’m so grateful to everyone who has worked hard to make this possible and to the incredible fans of Heartstopper for your patience and passion. I cannot wait to bring this story to a magical conclusion.”

In the Heartstopper movie, Nick and Charlie are inseparable, but with Nick preparing to leave for university and Charlie finding new independence at school, the reality of a long-distance relationship begins to weigh on them. Doubts take hold, and their relationship faces its biggest challenge yet.
Meanwhile, their friends are also navigating the ups and downs of love and friendship, confronting the bittersweet challenges of growing up and moving on. Can first loves really last forever?

In addition to Kit Connor and Joe Locke, the executive producers of the See-Saw Films production will include Patrick Walters, Iain Canning, Emile Sherman, Alice Oseman, and Euros Lyn, Joe Locke.
The third season of the series debuted on Netflix on October 3, 2024. In the third season, Charlie and Nick are ready to take things to the next level. As they get closer in every way, they face their relationship’s biggest challenge yet.

Charlie would like to tell Nick that he loves him. Nick also has something important to say to Charlie. As the summer holiday ends and the months race on, the friends begin to realize that the school year will come with both its joys and its challenges.
As they learn more about each other and their relationships, plan social events and parties, and start thinking about university choices, everyone must learn to lean on those they love when life doesn’t go as planned.
