Michael on Digital, 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD Details
Lionsgate has announced the release details for Michael on Digital, 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD. The film opened in theaters on Friday, April 24, 2026, and has grossed $853.4 million worldwide.
Michael arrives on Premium Digital and Premium Video on Demand beginning June 9 and on DVD, Blu-ray (+ Digital), 4K UHD (+ Blu-ray + Digital), 4K UHD (+ Blu-ray + Digital) Collectible Edition with Photo Book from Lionsgate and 4K UHD (+ Blu-ray + Digital) Walmart and Amazon Exclusive SteelBooks July 14.

With a Popcornmeter score at Rotten Tomatoes of 97%, the film stars Jaafar Jackson in the titular role, along with Nia Long (Friday, Boyz n the Hood), Juliano Valdi (The Loud House), KeiLyn Durrel Jones (How to Die Alone), Laura Harrier (White Men Can’t Jump, BlacKkKlansman), with Miles Teller (Top Gun: Maverick, Whiplash), and Colman Domingo (Sing Sing, Selma).
Directed by Antoine Fuqua (The Equalizer franchise, The Magnificent Seven), written by John Logan (Hugo, Skyfall), and produced by Graham King, p.g.a. (Bohemian Rhapsody), John Branca, and John McClain, the film has become a worldwide box office blockbuster.

Michael is a cinematic portrayal of the life and legacy of one of the world’s most influential artists. The film tells the story of Michael Jackson‘s life beyond the music, tracing his journey from the discovery of his extraordinary talent as the lead of The Jackson 5, to the visionary artist whose creative ambition fueled a relentless pursuit to become the biggest entertainer in the world.
Highlighting both his life off-stage and some of the most iconic performances from his early solo career, the film gives audiences a front-row seat to Michael Jackson as never before. This is where his story begins.

On June 9, Michael will be available to rent via Premium Video on Demand (for a 48-hour period) and to buy via Premium Electronic Sell-Thru on participating digital platforms where movies are purchased, including Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Fandango at Home, Google TV, YouTube, and more.
Lionsgate recently announced that it has joined Movies Anywhere to make its iconic film library more accessible than ever before for digital movie fans and collectors. Lionsgate is making Michael available as part of the studio’s initial Movies Anywhere offering in June.

On July 14, Michael will be available for $39.99 on Blu-ray (+ Digital); $29.96 on DVD; and $42.99 on 4K UHD (+ Blu-ray + Digital).
Also on July 14, Michael will be available for $34.99 as a 4K UHD (+ Blu-ray + Digital) Combo SteelBook, exclusively available at Amazon, a $42.99 4K UHD (+ Blu-ray + Digital) Combo SteelBook, exclusively available at Walmart, and $49.99 for 4K UHD (+ Blu-ray + Digital) Collector’s Edition with a 50-page photo booklet from Lionsgate Limited.
