Max Sets Dune: Part Two Debut and Reveals House of the Dragon Trailer

Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures’ Dune: Part Two will make its streaming debut on Max next Tuesday, May 21. The streaming service has also revealed the official trailer for House of the Dragon Season 2.

Dune: Part Two explores the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a path of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavors to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee.

The big-screen epic continues the adaptation of Frank Herbert’s acclaimed bestseller Dune with returning and new stars, including Oscar nominee Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar nominee Josh Brolin, Oscar nominee Austin Butler, Oscar nominee Florence Pugh, Dave Bautista, Oscar winner Christopher Walken, Léa Seydoux, and Souheila Yacoub, Stellan Skarsgård, with Oscar nominee Charlotte Rampling, and Oscar winner Javier Bardem.

The film was directed by Denis Villeneuve from a screenplay he wrote with Jon Spaihts; produced by Mary Parent, Cale Boyter, Patrick McCormick, Villeneuve, and Tanya Lapointe; and executive produced by Joshua Grode, Jon Spaihts, Thomas Tull, Herbert W. Gains, Brian Herbert, Byron Merritt, Kim Herbert, Richard P. Rubinstein, and John Harrison.

The second season of the original drama series House of the Dragon will debut on Sunday, June 16 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT) on HBO and will be available to stream on Max.

Based on George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood, the series tells the story of House Targaryen 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones.

The House of the Dragon Season 2 cast includes Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Eve Best, Steve Toussaint, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno, and Rhys Ifans. The additional returning cast includes Harry Collett, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Phia Saban, Jefferson Hall, and Matthew Needham.

New cast members for the second season include Abubakar Salim as Alyn of Hull, Gayle Rankin as Alys Rivers, Freddie Fox as Ser Gwayne Hightower, Simon Russell Beale as Ser Simon Strong, and Clinton Liberty as Addam of Hull.

Jamie Kenna as Ser Alfred Broome, Kieran Bew as Hugh, Tom Bennett as Ulf, Tom Taylor as Lord Cregan Stark, and Vincent Regan as Ser Rickard Thorne are also joining the HBO show.

George R.R. Martin is the co-creator and executive producer, and Ryan Condal is the co-creator, showrunner, and executive producer. The executive producers also include Sara Hess, Alan Taylor, Melissa Bernstein, Kevin de la Noy, Loni Peristere, and Vince Gerardis.
