Will we see Euphoria Season 3 in 2025? HBO has just announced that the highly-anticipated third season will begin filming in January.
While the third-season renewal was announced way back in February 2022, the production has been pushed back several times since then. HBO says that all of the principal cast members will return.
“I am thrilled that we are ready to begin production on Euphoria in January,” said Francesca Orsi, executive vice president of HBO programming and head of HBO drama series and films.
“We could not be happier with our creative partnership with Sam and this incredible cast. We look forward to bringing this new season of Euphoria to life for the fans.”
The popular series’ first season premiered in June 2019, and the second season launched in January 2022. Two one-hour specials aired in December 2020 and January 2021.
Sam Levinson created the Emmy-winning drama series and is the writer, director, and executive producer. The show stars Emmy winner Zendaya and is produced in partnership with A24.
The cast also includes Hunter Schafer, Nika King, Eric Dane, Jacob Elordi, Algee Smith, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, Javon Walton, Dominic Fike, Storm Reid, and Austin Abrams.
The executive producers of Euphoria Season 3 are Sam Levinson, the late Kevin Turen, Ravi Nandan, Drake, Adel “Future” Nur, Zendaya, Will Greenfield, Ashley Levinson, Ron Leshem, Daphna Levin, and Hadas Mozes Lichtenstein.
The series is based on the Israeli series of the same name, created by Ron Leshem and Daphna Levin from HOT.
NPR heralded the second season as “a creative triumph,” calling it “thrilling, daring, disquieting and compelling.” Vulture praised it for an “abundance of artistic confidence that makes it intoxicating to watch.” Mashable hailed the season as “spectacular,” “stupefyingly bold,” and “an electrifying ride,” noting “Zendaya is at a career-best.”
