AMC Networks July 2023 Schedule Announced

The AMC Networks July 2023 schedule has been announced and includes the premiere of AMC’s Dark Winds Season 2 and the finale of AMC’s The Walking Dead: Dead City.

The AMC Networks July 2023 lineup also features the finales of Acorn TV’s Cannes Confidential, Sundance Now’s Clean Sweep, and True Crime Story: Look Into My Eyes.

AMC+ continues film premieres every week with movies such as Katie Holmes’ Rare Objects, Shudder’s Quicksand and Sharksploitation, and IFC Films’ R.M.N.

Cannes Confidential (Acorn TV Original) – New Episodes Premiere Mondays Through July 10
Set in the Cote d’Azur, Cannes Confidential is a blue-sky, romantic crime series starring French TV-drama actor Lucie Lucas (Clem, Porto and Gloria), Jamie Bamber (Strike Back, Marcella, Battlestar Galactica), and singer/actor Tamara Marthe (Profilage). The series centers on the relationship between an idealistic, local underdog female cop (Lucas) and an ex-conman (Bamber).

The pair are forced into an unlikely — and surprisingly successful — crime-fighting partnership, which sees them solve a murder case in each close-ended episode. However, the drama’s arc focuses on the main character’s quest to find the criminals who framed her father, a local-hero police officer who was jailed for a crime he did not commit.

London Kills Season 4 (Acorn TV Original) – Binge Premieres Monday, July 10
Detective Inspector David Bradford has always been a maverick, but his behavior is spinning out of control. When Detective Sergeant Vivienne Cole pulls him up on his conduct, he announces that their professional relationship is over – and then he goes AWOL.

When Vivienne tracks David down and demands he explain his behavior, what he reveals knocks her sideways. Starring Hugo Speer (Britannia), Sharon Small (Trust Me), Bailey Patrick (Casualty) and newcomer Tori Allen-Martin.

The Best of Us – Binge Premiere Monday July 24
In this French-language crime drama, the case is as gripping as the scenery is stunning. When the murder of a local hero rocks a small Alpine village, no-nonsense cop Awa Sissako (Mariama Gueye) is sent from the Parisian suburbs to investigate and is forced to face her own demons in the process.

Makeup X Breakup Season 2 (ALLBLK Original Series) – New Season Premieres Thursday, July 6
This season we travel back to a time when life was less complicated. While revisiting 2014, we experience the earlier days when Brooke and Blake first began dating. The Walking Dead: Dead City – New Episodes Premiere Sundays on AMC; Stream Early Every Thursday on AMC+ Through July 20
The Walking Dead: Dead City follows the popular Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) characters traveling into a post-apocalyptic Manhattan, long ago cut off from the mainland.

The crumbling city is filled with the dead and denizens who have made New York City their own world full of anarchy, danger, beauty, and terror.

Dark Winds Season 2 – New Episodes Premiere Sundays Beginning July 30 on AMC; Stream Early Every Thursday on AMC+
Lt. Joe Leaphorn (Zahn McClarnon) reunites with Jim Chee (Kiowa Gordon), his former deputy turned private eye when their separate cases bring them together in pursuit of the same suspect. They find themselves in the high desert of Navajo Country chasing a killer who’s turned his sights on them to protect a secret that rips open old wounds and challenges Leaphorn’s moral and professional code.

With the help of Sgt. Manuelito (Jessica Matten) and Valencia County Sheriff Gordo Sena, Leaphorn and Chee must thwart their would-be assassin and restore balance not only to their own lives but to the reservation that depends on them.

Guest stars include Jeri Ryan (Star Trek: Picard) as Rosemary Vines, a femme fatale whose physical frailties hide her naked ambition as she plays Jim Chee, leaving a trail of bodies in her wake, as well as Nicholas Logan (Dopesick) as Colton Wolf, a twisted assassin with a secret that puts him on a collision course with Lt. Joe Leaphorn.

Rare Objects – Premieres Friday, July 7 (AMC+ Exclusive)
Tells the story of a young woman who seeks to rebuild her life when she takes work at an antique store. She regains her confidence from the kind souls who own the shop, until those from her traumatic past begin to resurface. Starring Katie Holmes (Dawson’s Creek), Derek Luke (13 Reasons Why) and Saundra Santiago (Miami Vice).

Quicksand – Premieres Friday, July 14 (Shudder Original)
An American couple, on the brink of divorce, travel to Colombia for a work conference. While on a hike through the rainforest, a storm causes them to become trapped in a pit of quicksand. Unable to move, it becomes a struggle for survival as they battle the elements of the jungle and a venomous snake, in order to escape. Starring Carolina Gaitàn (Encanto) and Allan Hawco (Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan).

Sharksploitation – Premieres Friday, July 21 (Shudder Original)
In the wake of blockbuster classic Jaws, a new subgenre was born. This new documentary explores the weird, wild cinematic legacy of sharks on film and the world’s undying fascination. From director-producer Stephen Scarlata (Jodorowsky’s Dune).

R.M.N. – Premieres Friday, July 28 (AMC+ Exclusive)
In the newest film from the acclaimed director Cristian Mungiu of 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days, Matthias returns to his rural Romanian hometown after an incident with his job in Germany, hoping to reconnect with his young son and estranged wife.

But the town seems to have changed in his absence, with distrust, economic resentment and perhaps something more lurking just below the surface. When a group of foreign workers are hired at a small, local factory, the tenuous peace of the community is disturbed, and frustrations, conflicts and passions erupt.

Veteran detective Tom Brannick (James Nesbitt, The Missing) investigates a notorious series of disappearances from Northern Ireland’s dark past — including his own wife’s 20 years earlier – and begins an obsessive campaign to unmask a legendary assassin, code-named Goliath.

Helck (HIDIVE Exclusive) – Series Premiere in July
The tournament begins this summer for shonen fans with the long-awaited premiere of the new action fantasy series Helck this July exclusively on HIDIVE. After a crushing defeat at the hands of humanity, the demons are ready to elect their new Demon King! Only demons don’t decide their rulers at the ballot box.

Instead, a fighting tournament will determine who inherits the crown and the task of leading the demons back to their former glory. The latest tournament of succession is going smoothly — except for the tiny detail that a former HUMAN hero named Helck just walked away victorious!

Sure, Helck claims he hates humans as much as the next demon, but his new subjects aren’t so sure of his motivations. They send Red Vamirio, one of the Four Heavenly Demon Kings, to investigate Helck’s true intentions for the demon realm.

The title of Demon King is at stake, and now the fate of demon world is in Red’s demonic hands! Helck is directed by Tatsuo Sato, written by Toshizo Nemoto and Mitsutaka Hirota, and produced by SATELIGHT Inc.

Dark Gathering (HIDIVE Exclusive) – Series Premiere in July
The scares arrive on HIDVE in July with the premiere of Dark Gathering, the exclusive new horror-supernatural series based on Kenichi Kondo’s popular shounen manga series of the same name. After a devastating encounter with a restless spirit, ghost-fearing psychic Keitaro Gentoga became a shut-in to avoid additional spectral catastrophes.

But no man is a haunted island, and Keitaro eventually reintegrates with society by getting a part-time job as a tutor to the child prodigy Yayoi Houzuki. Yayoi isn’t just an academic genius, though.

She’s a talented psychic medium hell-bent on finding the malevolent spirit behind her mother’s disappearance, and she’s gravely determined to drag Keitaro into her terrifying world of grotesque supernatural phenomenon. Dark Gathering is directed by Hiroshi Ikehata, written by Shigeru Murakoshi and produced by OLM.

Level 1 Demon Lord and One Room Hero (HIDIVE Exclusive) – Series Premiere in July
HIDIVE is bringing summertime laughs to fans with the exclusive new fantasy-comedy series Level 1 Demon Lord and One Room Hero premiering in July. After his embarrassing defeat at the hands of a brave hero, the Demon Lord is back and ready for revenge… but after ten years apart, the hero, Max, isn’t the dashing do-gooder the Demon Lord remembers.

In fact, Max has turned into a shut-in slob with no interest in an epic rematch. True Crime Story: Look Into My Eyes (SundanceTV Original Series) – New Episodes Every Thursday Until Series Finale on July 6
Four-part series unfurls the bizarre story of Dr. George Kenney and his fall from grace after 10 years as a beloved principal at North Port High School in Florida where he practiced hypnosis on students. After three teenage students died after a series of suspicious events, the case exploded into global news when a local media story questioned his involvement.

The series investigates events leading up to these untimely deaths and the tragic aftermath as victims’ families, eyewitnesses, experts, and people involved attempt to unpack what really happened.

Clean Sweep (Sundance Now Original Series) – New Episodes Every Thursday Until Season Finale on July 20
Created by Gary Tieche (Preacher) and inspired by true events, this Irish thriller follows Shelly Mohan (Charlene McKenna, Bloodlands, Peaky Blinders), a housewife, mother of three, married to a Garda detective, who kills her former partner in crime when he threatens to expose her dark past.

With her unsuspecting husband hunting for the killer, Shelly must cope with pressures of the tightening noose as well as continue caring for an ailing son, her unfaithful husband, and all usual burdens of motherhood. 

The Heiress and the Heist (Sundance Now Original Series) – New True Crime Series Binge on Thursday, July 27
True crime docuseries that follows the story of Rose Dugdale, a former debutante who rebelled against her wealthy upbringing, becoming a volunteer in the militant Provisional Irish Republican Army. Dugdale ran head-first towards the action, spearheading the first aerial terrorist attack in British history and pulling off the biggest art theft of her time.

In 1974, she led a gang into the opulent Russborough House in Ireland and made off with millions in prized paintings, including works by Goya, Gainsborough, and Vermeer.
