Wednesday Season 2 Starts Production with New Cast Members
Today, Netflix announced the start of production on Wednesday Season 2 in Ireland with several new cast members joining the series. The streaming service released a video in which fan-favorite Thing delivers new scripts to cast members on set.
Thing also takes center stage on Netflix’s newly launched TikTok channel, aka “Thing Tok,” which is dedicated to all things Wednesday from Thing’s unique perspective.

Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Isaac Ordonez, and Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo are among the returning cast members who have been made series regulars.
The new series regulars include Steve Buscemi (The Big Lebowski, Boardwalk Empire), Billie Piper (Scoop, I Hate Suzie), Evie Templeton (Return to Silent Hill, Lord of Misrule), Owen Painter (Tiny Beautiful Things, The Handmaid’s Tale), and Noah Taylor (Law & Order: Organized Crime, Park Avenue).

The new guest stars include Christopher Lloyd (Addams Family, Back to the Future), Joanna Lumley (Fool Me Once, Absolutely Fabulous), Thandiwe Newton (Westworld, Crash), Frances O’Connor (The Missing, The Twelve), Haley Joel Osment (The Kominsky Method, Somebody I Used to Know), Heather Matarazzo (The Princess Diaries, Scream), and Joonas Suotamo.
“We are thrilled that the entire Addams family will be enrolling in Nevermore Academy this season along with a dream cast of icons and new faces,” said the series’ creators, writers, and showrunners Al Gough and Miles Millar.

Wednesday is the Most Popular English TV series on Netflix, with 252.10 million Season 1 views. The series spent 20 weeks on the Global Top 10 and reached the Top 10 in 93 countries.
The series is a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery that charts Wednesday Addams’s years as a student at Nevermore Academy.

Tim Burton (Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands) is the director and executive producer of the MGM Television series. Paco Cabezas and Angela Robinson are also directors for season two.
Other executive producers include Steve Stark, Andrew Mittman, Tommy Harper, Karen Richards, Kayla Alpert, Jonathan Glickman, Gail Berman, and Meredith Averill. Jenna Ortega is set to produce Season 2.

The full cast includes Jenna Ortega, Steve Buscemi, Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Hunter Doohan, Victor Dorobantu, Moosa Mostafa, Isaac Ordonez, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, Billie Piper, Georgie Farmer, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, and Noah Taylor, with Luis Guzmán and Catherine Zeta-Jones.
