Weapons to Begin Streaming on HBO Max October 24

New Line Cinema’s Weapons will make its global streaming debut exclusively on HBO Max on Friday, October 24. The film will debut on HBO linear on Saturday, October 25, at 8:00 p.m. ET.

The film has been rated R by the Motion Picture Association (MPA) for strong bloody violence and grisly images, language throughout, some sexual content, and drug use.

Released in theaters on August 8, 2025, the film grossed $266.7 million at the global box office, with $151.4 million coming from North American theaters and $115.3 million from international markets.

In Weapons, when all but one child from the same class mysteriously vanish on the same night at 2:17 a.m., a community is left questioning who or what is behind their disappearance.

The movie stars Josh Brolin, Julia Garner, Alden Ehrenreich, Austin Abrams, and Cary Christopher, with Benedict Wong and Amy Madigan.

Zach Cregger (Barbarian) directed Weapons from his own screenplay. He produced it alongside Roy Lee, Miri Yoon, J.D. Lifshitz, and Raphael Margules, with Michelle Morrissey and Josh Brolin serving as executive producers.

The filmmaker’s creative team behind the camera included director of photography Larkin Seiple, production designer Tom Hammock, editor Joe Murphy, and costume designer Trish Sommerville. The music is by Ryan Holladay, Hays Holladay, and Zach Cregger.
