Warfare First Look and Poster Revealed by A24
A24 has released a first look at Warfare, the new visceral cinematic event directed by Iraq War veteran Ray Mendoza and Alex Garland (Civil War, 28 Days Later). Mendoza was the military supervisor for Garland’s Civil War.
Warfare embeds audiences with a platoon of American Navy SEALs in the home of an Iraqi family, overwatching the movement of US forces through insurgent territory.

A visceral, boots-on-the-ground story of modern warfare, told like never before: in real-time and based on the memory of the people who lived it.
The film was written and directed by Ray Mendoza and Alex Garland, whose directing and writing credits also include Ex Machina, Annihilation and Men. Garland previously wrote 28 Days Later, Sunshine, 28 Weeks Later, Never Let Me Go and Dredd as well.

The movie stars D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai, Will Poulter, Cosmo Jarvis, Kit Connor, Finn Bennett, Taylor John Smith, Michael Gandolfini, Adain Bradley, Noah Centineo, Evan Holtzman, and Henrique Zaga, with Joseph Quinn and Charles Melton.
The producers include Andrew Macdonald, Allon Reich and Peter Rice. Warfare began principal photography in London in May 2024. The film will open in theaters on April 11, 2025.

The director of photography is David J. Thompson, the production design is by Mark Digby, the editing is by Fin Oates and the costume design is by David Crossman and Neil Murphy.
The film’s sound design is by Glenn Freemantle and the casting is by Kharmel Cochrane.

With a runtime of 95 minutes, the movie has been rated R for intense war violence and bloody/grisly images, and language throughout. A24 is the studio behind Moonlight, Lady Bird, Ex Machina, The Witch, Eighth Grade, Hereditary and more.
In addition to the Warfare first look, A24 has also released a new poster for the film, which you can view by scrolling down.
