Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery Teaser Arrives
Netflix has unveiled the official teaser trailer for Rian Johnson’s Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, which is set to open in select theaters on November 26, 2025, and then will be available to stream on Netflix on December 12.
Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) returns for his most dangerous case yet in the third and darkest chapter of Rian Johnson’s murder mystery opus.

We first met the famed private detective Benoit Blanc in 2019’s Knives Out when he was hired to investigate the death of best-selling author Harlan Thrombey. Blanc teamed up with nurse Marta Cabrera (Ana de Armas) to uncover the truth in a twisted case filled with angry relatives, red herrings, and fabulous knitwear.
Blanc’s skills were called upon once more in Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, when he headed to Greece to peel back the layers of intrigue surrounding tech billionaire Miles Bron (Edward Norton) and an eclectic group of disruptors.

Blanc was last seen sitting on the beach of Bron’s estate on an idyllic Greek island, calmly pondering the chaotic events of his past few days. But the fiery ending of Glass Onion could also be seen as a beginning to the master sleuth’s next chapter.
Daniel Craig will return as the suave Southern investigator in Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, a new installment of the whodunnit franchise written and directed by Rian Johnson.

The cast of the third installment also includes Josh O’Connor, Glenn Close, Josh Brolin, Mila Kunis, Jeremy Renner, Kerry Washington, Andrew Scott, Cailee Spaeny, Daryl McCormack, and Thomas Haden Church. Ram Bergman and Rian Johnson produce the new film.
“I love everything about whodunnits, but one of the things I love most is how malleable the genre is,” said Rian Johnson previously. “There’s a whole tonal spectrum from Carr to Christie, and getting to explore that range is one of the most exciting things about making Benoit Blanc movies.”

In Knives Out, Daniel Craig starred opposite Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Jamie Lee Curtis, Michael Shannon, Don Johnson, Toni Collette, LaKeith Stanfield, Katherine Langford, Jaeden Martell, and Christopher Plummer.
Craig was joined in Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery by Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick, Madelyn Cline, Kate Hudson, and Dave Bautista.
