The Seduction First Look Revealed by HBO

HBO has shared a first look at the Original French series The Seduction, which is set to debut on Friday, November 14, 2025, on HBO Max.

Following the premiere, one episode of the series will debut weekly until December 19.

To be the hero of your own story, you sometimes have to be the villain in others’. Marquise de Merteuil, betrayed by Valmont, embarks on a daring journey to become Paris’ leading courtesan.

The series is an adaptation of the novel Les Liaisons Dangereuses by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos, a thrilling exploration of the price of emotional and sexual freedom in a world where women had little.

The Seduction cast includes Anamaria Vartolomei as Isabelle de Merteuil, Diane Kruger as Madame de Rosemonde, Vincent Lacoste as Vicomte de Valmont, and Lucas Bravo as Comte de Gercourt.

The cast also includes Noée Abita as Madame de Tourvel, Julien de Saint-Jean as Louis de Germain, Fantine Harduin as Cécile de Volanges, Samuel Kircher as Chevalier Danceny, and Sandrine Blancke as Madame de Volanges.

The Seduction was directed by Jessica Palud, created by Jean-Baptiste Delafon, and written by Jean-Baptiste Delafon in collaboration with Jessica Palud (episodes 1, 2, and 6) and Gaëlle Bellan (episode 1).

The HBO series was produced by NABI Productions (UGC Group) (Clément Birnbaum, Joachim Nahum) and Felicita Films (TF1 Studios Group) (Marie Guillaumond).
