Following its debut at the San Diego Comic-Con, Paramount Pictures has released the new Transformers One trailer. The animated film will open in theaters on September 20, 2024.
Transformers One is the long-awaited origin story of how the most iconic characters in the Transformers universe, Orion Pax and D-16, went from brothers-in-arms to sworn enemies, Optimus Prime and Megatron.
The film is the untold origin story of Optimus Prime and Megatron, better known as sworn enemies. Once, they were friends who bonded like brothers and changed the fate of Cybertron forever.
Directed by Josh Cooley, the movie stars Chris Hemsworth (Orion Pax), Brian Tyree Henry (D-16), Scarlett Johansson (Elita-1), Keegan-Michael Key (B-127), and Steve Buscemi, with Laurence Fishburne and Jon Hamm.
From Paramount Animation and Hasbro, in association with New Republic Pictures, Transformers One is based on Hasbro’s Transformers action figures.
Josh Cooley directed the film from a screenplay by Eric Pearson and Andrew Barrer & Gabriel Ferrari. The story is by Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari.
The film was produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Tom DeSanto, Don Murphy, Michael Bay, Mark Vahradian, and Aaron Dem. The executive producers include Steven Spielberg, Zev Foreman, Olivier Dumont, Brian Oliver, B.J. Farmer, and Matt Quigg.
The film is rated PG for sci-fi violence and animated action throughout, and language.
