Netflix has shared the trailer and poster for Mother of the Bride, which will begin streaming globally on May 9, 2024.

The film was directed by Mark Waters, who is known for Freaky Friday, Mean Girls, Just Like Heaven, The Spiderwick Chronicles, Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, Mr. Popper’s Penguins, Vampire Academy, and Bad Santa 2.

In Mother of the Bride, Lana’s daughter Emma returns from abroad and drops a bombshell: She’s getting married—in Thailand—in a month! Things only get worse when Lana learns that the man who captured Emma’s heart is the son of the man who broke her heart years ago.

The film stars Brooke Shields, Miranda Cosgrove (iCarly), Sean Teale, and Chad Michael Murray, with Rachael Harris and Benjamin Bratt.

Written by Robin Bernheim Burger, the Netflix movie also stars Michael McDonald, Wilson Cruz, Tasneem Roc, and Dalip Sondhi.

Brad Krevoy produces, and the executive producers include Brooke Shields, Oliver Ackermann, Galen Fletcher, Robin Bernheim Burger, Amanda Phillips, Jimmy Townsend, and Vince Balzano.
