Mercy First Look Featuring Chris Pratt and Rebecca Ferguson
Amazon MGM Studios has revealed the official trailer and poster for the sci-fi thriller Mercy, which is set to open in theaters and IMAX on January 23, 2026. The trailer and poster were first unveiled at New York Comic Con.
The film has been rated PG-13 by the Motion Picture Association (MPA) for violence, bloody images, some strong language, drug content, and teen smoking.
The film was directed by Timur Bekmambetov, whose credits include Night Watch (2004), Wanted (2008), Unfriended (2015), Profile (2018), Searching (2018), and War of the Worlds (2025). Marco van Belle wrote the script.
Mercy is set in the near future, where a detective (Chris Pratt) stands on trial accused of murdering his wife. He has 90 minutes to prove his innocence to the advanced A.I. Judge (Rebecca Ferguson) he once championed, before it determines his fate.
In addition to Chris Pratt and Rebecca Ferguson, the film stars Kali Reis, Annabelle Wallis, Chris Sullivan, and Kylie Rogers.
Mercy is produced by Charles Roven, Robert Amidon, Timur Bekmambetov, and Majd Nassif. Mark Moran and Todd Williams are the executive producers. Amazon MGM Studios is presenting the Atlas Entertainment and Bazelevs production.
