Max July 2025 Movie and TV Titles Announced
Warner Bros. Discovery has announced the movies, TV shows, and live sports that will be available on the Max (soon to be called HBO Max) streaming service in July. The Max July 2025 lineup includes the feature films Sinners, A24’s On Becoming a Guinea Fowl, Opus, and Death of a Unicorn, and Utopia’s I Love You Forever.
The schedule includes the HBO Original documentaries Billy Joel: And So It Goes and Dear Ms.: A Revolution in Print, as well as the HBO Original series Rage. You can also catch Shark Week beginning on July 20.

Sinners (Warner Bros. Film)
Debuts July 4
Trying to leave their troubled lives behind, twin brothers return to their hometown to start again, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back. The cast includes Michael B. Jordan, Hailee Steinfeld, Miles Caton, Jack O’Connell, Wunmi Mosaku, Jayme Lawson, Omar Miller, and Delroy Lindo.
Written and directed by Ryan Coogler, “Sinners” was produced by Zinzi Coogler, Sev Ohanian, and Coogler. The executive producers include Ludwig Göransson, Will Greenfield, and Rebecca Cho.
On Becoming a Guinea Fowl (A24 Film)
Debuts July 4
On an empty road in the middle of the night, Shula stumbles across the body of her uncle. As funeral proceedings begin around them, she and her cousins bring to light the buried secrets of their middle-class Zambian family, in filmmaker Rungano Nyoni’s surreal and vibrant reckoning with the lies we tell ourselves.
Susan Chardy, Elizabeth Chisela, and Henry B.J. Phiri star in the film, directed and written by Rungano Nyoni. Ed Guiney, Andrew Lowe, and Tim Cole are the producers.
Opus (A24 Film)
Debuts July 11
A young writer is invited to the remote compound of a legendary pop star who mysteriously disappeared thirty years ago. Surrounded by the star’s cult of sycophants and intoxicated journalists, she finds herself in the middle of his twisted plan.
Ayo Edebiri, John Malkovich, Juliette Lewis, Murray Bartlett, Amber Midthunder, Stephanie Suganami, Young Mazino, and Tatanka Means star in the film, written and directed by Mark Anthony Green. It was produced by Collin Creighton, Brad Weston, Poppy Hanks, Jelani Johnson, Mark Anthony Green, and Josh Bachove.
I Love You Forever (Utopia Film)
Debuts July 18
“I Love You Forever” is a subversive romantic comedy gone wrong that follows a young woman into and out of an emotionally abusive relationship. The cast includes Sofia Black-D’Elia, Ray Nicholson, Cazzie David, Jon Rudnitsky, and Raymond Cham Jr.
Written and directed by Cazzie David and Elisa Kalani, “I Love You Forever” was produced by Lauren Hantz, Billy Mulligan, Liana Weston, Mason Novick, Evan Silverberg, and Diablo Cody. Lindsay Hurd is the executive producer.
Death of a Unicorn (A24 Film)
Debuts July 25
A father (Paul Rudd) and daughter (Jenna Ortega) accidentally hit and kill a unicorn while en route to a weekend retreat, where his billionaire boss (Richard E. Grant) seeks to exploit the creature’s miraculous curative properties. Will Poulter, Anthony Carrigan, Sunita Mani, Jessica Hynes, and Téa Leoni also star.
Written and directed by Alex Scharfman, “Death of a Unicorn” was produced by Drew Houpt, Lucas Joaquin, Alex Scharfman, Lars Knudsen, Tyler Campellone, Tim Headington, and Theresa Steele Page.
SERIES
Rage (Furia) (HBO Original Series – Spain)
The eight-episode series premieres with two episodes on July 11. One episode will air weekly until the finale on August 22.
The series is a contemporary portrait of five women: five female characters who lead this surprising, realistic, and intense drama. Five women ready to do anything in the face of extreme situations such as extortion, oppression, deceit, exclusion, or manipulation in a single shared universe articulated around five conflicts that will develop like a butterfly effect – one as a consequence of the other – and so on to shared catharsis.
A kaleidoscopic portrait of the current social moment with high doses of irony and humor, the series stars Carmen Machi, Candela Peña, Cecilia Roth, Nathalie Poza, and Pilar Castro.
The additional cast members include Claudia Salas, Alberto San Juan, Ana Torrent, Claudia Roset, Mima Riera, Pedro Casablanc, Marilu Marini, Iván Pellicer, Francesc Garrido, Martxelo Rubio, and Pepón Nieto.
“Rage” was created and directed by Félix Sabroso. Alberto Carullo, Antonio Trashorras, David Ocaña, and José María Caro are the executive producers for Max. Santi Botello and Tedy Villalba Jr. are the executive producers for Producciones Mandarina.

Dear Ms.: A Revolution in Print (HBO Original Documentary)
Debuts July 2
Launching its first trailblazing issue in 1972 and still publishing today, Ms. magazine revolutionized the feminist movement, igniting provocative conversations about issues that impact women, from politics to harassment, race, sex, and abortion.
In the documentary, three filmmakers select iconic cover stories to explore the complexities of creating a magazine that was unafraid to wrestle with challenging and often polarizing issues.
HBO Documentary Films presents “Dear Ms.: A Revolution in Print,” a McGee Media Production. Directed by Salima Koroma, Alice Gu, and Cecilia Aldarondo; produced by William Ventura; executive produced by Dyllan McGee, Amy Richards, Cindi Leive, and Regina K. Billy Joel: And So It Goes (HBO Original Documentary)
Part 1 debuts on July 18 and Part 2 on July 25
