Lilo & Stitch Super Bowl Spot and More Promos
The Walt Disney Studios continued the effective marketing campaign for the new live-action family adventure Lilo & Stitch during the Super Bowl. You can now watch the Big Game spot and the previous two teasers online.
The marketing takes a page from how the original animated film was promoted. For that campaign, Stitch invaded other Disney properties such as The Little Mermaid (1989), Beauty and the Beast (1991), Aladdin (1992) and The Lion King (1994). This time he’s running loose at the Super Bowl, having some more fun with The Lion King and more.

A live-action reimagining of Disney’s 2002 animated classic, Lilo & Stitch is the wildly funny and touching story of a lonely Hawaiian girl and the fugitive alien who helps to mend her broken family.
Directed by Dean Fleischer Camp, the Oscar-nominated filmmaker behind the animated feature film Marcel the Shell with Shoes On, the film stars Sydney Elizebeth Agudong, Billy Magnussen, Tia Carrere, Hannah Waddingham and Chris Sanders, with Courtney B. Vance and Zach Galifianakis, and introducing Maia Kealoha.

Lilo & Stitch is produced by Jonathan Eirich, p.g.a. and Dan Lin, with Louie Provost, Tom Peitzman and Ryan Halprin serving as executive producers.
Opening in theaters on May 23, 2025, the movie has not yet been rated by the Motion Picture Association (MPA), although the animated film received a PG rating for mild sci-fi action.

The Lilo & Stitch franchise also includes a direct-to-video sequel, Stitch! The Movie, which served as the pilot for the TV series, Lilo & Stitch: The Series. The series ran for 65 episodes between 2003 and 2006. The series ended with the television film Leroy & Stitch, which aired in June 2006.
Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch, another direct-to-video sequel, was released in August 2005. A Japanese anime series, Stitch!, ran from 2008 to 2011 and aired two post-series specials in 2012 and 2015. The English-language Chinese animated TV series Stitch & Ai also aired with a Mandarin Chinese dub in 2017.
