Landman Season 2 Given the Green Light
Paramount+ has given the green light to Landman Season 2 after the series ranked as a Top 10 SVOD (Subscription Video on Demand) title across all SVOD titles for the fourth quarter of 2024.
To be specific, the series ranked in eighth place for the quarter (according to Nielsen) while Paramount+ series Tulsa King ranked fourth and Lioness ranked ninth. Landman had 35 million global streaming viewers for the premiere episode and set new records for Paramount+.

Landman had the most watched global premiere and finale of any series in Paramount+ history and was the No. 1 original ever on the service. Billy Bob Thornton also scored a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor in a Drama Series for his role as Tommy Norris.
Season one is available to stream exclusively on Paramount+.

“Landman was one of the biggest shows of the year because of Taylor Sheridan’s unique ability to tap into the cultural zeitgeist, harnessing the Neo-Western themes of rugged individualism, ambition and working-class struggles set against contemporary debates around energy, climate change and economic growth,” said Chris McCarthy, President and CEO of SHOWTIME/MTV Entertainment Studios and Paramount Media Networks.
“The series has helped drive Paramount+ to new heights as the number two SVOD in the U.S. for Original Hours Watched in Q4, alongside our other hit series Tulsa King, The Agency, Lioness and Dexter: Original Sin.”

Starring Academy Award winner Billy Bob Thornton and Academy Award nominee Demi Moore, and from co-creators Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace, Landman is set in the proverbial boomtowns of West Texas and is a modern-day tale of fortune-seeking in the world of oil rigs.
Based on the notable 11-part podcast Boomtown from Imperative Entertainment and Texas Monthly, the series is an upstairs/downstairs story of roughnecks and wildcat billionaires fueling a boom so big, that it’s reshaping our climate, our economy and our geopolitics.

In addition to Thornton and Moore, Landman stars Academy Award nominee Andy Garcia, Ali Larter, Jacob Lofland, Michelle Randolph, Paulina Chávez, Kayla Wallace, Mark Collie, James Jordan and Colm Feore.
Landman is executive produced by co-creator Taylor Sheridan, David C. Glasser, David Hutkin, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, co-creator Christian Wallace, Billy Bob Thornton, Geyer Kosinski, Michael Friedman and Stephen Kay.

Dan Friedkin and Jason Hoch for Imperative Entertainment and J.K. Nickell and Megan Creydt for Texas Monthly also executive produce. Tommy Turtle serves as co-executive producer.
The series is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, 101 Studios and Sheridan’s Bosque Ranch Productions. Landman is distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
