Krysten Ritter and Neil Patrick Harris Join Dexter: Resurrection
SHOWTIME has announced that Krysten Ritter (Love & Death, Marvel’s Jessica Jones) and Neil Patrick Harris (Uncoupled) will join the cast of the SHOWTIME original series Dexter: Resurrection. Ritter will guest star in the role of “Mia” and Harris in the role of “Lowell.”
Production for Dexter: Resurrection kicked off in January 2025 in New York and the series is set to launch in summer of 2025 on Paramount+ with SHOWTIME. The new original drama series stars SAG and Golden Globe winner Michael C. Hall (Dexter, Six Feet Under) in the titular role of Dexter Morgan.

In addition to Hall, Dexter: Resurrection will also star Uma Thurman as Charley, David Zayas as Detective Angel Batista, Jack Alcott as Dexter’s son Harrison Morgan, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine as Blessing Kamara and Kadia Saraf as Detective Claudette Wallace.
Rounding out the cast are Dominic Fumusa as Detective Melvin Oliva, Emilia Suárez as Elsa Rivera, James Remar as Dexter’s father Harry Morgan and Peter Dinklage as Leon Prater.

Most recently, Dexter: Original Sin, a prequel series that follows Dexter (played by Patrick Gibson) as he transitions from student to serial killer, debuted last year and became the most streamed global original series for SHOWTIME in ten years.
The season finale aired in February and scored 2.68 million global viewers, marking it the most streamed episode of the season. The series, which is available to watch now on Paramount+ with SHOWTIME, delivered over 15 million owned engagements across social during the season run.

Dexter: Resurrection is executive produced by Emmy nominee Clyde Phillips (Dexter, Dexter: Original Sin, Nurse Jackie), who also returns to serve as showrunner and produced by SHOWTIME Studios and Counterpart Studios. Michael C. Hall also serves as executive producer along with Scott Reynolds (Jessica Jones), Tony Hernandez (Emily in Paris) and Lilly Burns (Russian Doll), with Marcos Siega (Dexter: New Blood) serving as producing director.
Monica Raymund (Dexter: Original Sin) is set to direct four episodes with Marcos Siega directing six episodes for the series. The series is distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.

Krysten Ritter is a multi-faceted actress across film, television and theater. She is best known for starring in the Peabody award-winning series Marvel’s Jessica Jones, where she received a Critics Choice Award nomination for her lead role.
Most recently, Ritter can be seen in starring roles in Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Orphan Black: Echoes and Love & Death, with additional past credits including Breaking Bad, Nightbooks and Big Eyes. Her theater credits include Heart of the Matter, All New People, All This Intimacy and the 24 Hour Plays.
