HBO Max Expands to 15 More European Countries on March 8

HBO Max, WarnerMedia’s premium streaming platform, will launch in 15 more European countries on March 8, 2022, it has been confirmed today. This follows the successful launch of HBO Max in the Nordics and Spain in October 2021.

The 15 countries are Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Moldova, Montenegro, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, and Slovenia.

HBO Max is currently available in 46 territories across the Americas and Europe, with that rising to 61 with these launches.

HBO Max is going global as part of a phased rollout and, later this year, will expand to a further six European countries, including Greece and Turkey.

HBO Max brings together new and iconic series and movies from Warner Bros., HBO, DC, Cartoon Network, and Max Originals in one place for the first time, including Warner Bros. movies just 45 days after their theatrical release.

Top Warner Bros. films that will be available include The Matrix Resurrections, Dune, King Richard, The Suicide Squad, and Tom and Jerry.

New Max Originals include Station Eleven, Peacemaker, Raised by Wolves Season 2, and The Sex Lives of College Girls. European Max Originals coming to the platform include Todo Lo Otro, Kamikaze, Lust, Ruxx, The Thaw, The Informant, and Garcia!

There’s non-scripted entertainment with Expecting Amy, Finding Magic Mike, FBoy Island, and Selena + Chef. Kids content includes Teen Titans Go!, The Amazing World of Gumball, Looney Tunes Cartoons, and Cocomelon.

HBO Max will be available on leading devices and platforms, including smart TVs (Samsung, LG and Android TV™), via streaming devices (Apple TV 4K and Google Chromecast), game consoles (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S), mobile and tablets (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Android™), and online at hbomax.com.

HBO Max will also be available through selected TV distribution partners.

Customers will be able to pay via major providers (VISA, Mastercard, and PayPal) and via in-app purchases (Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and Samsung Checkout).

Features include personalization with up to five viewer profiles, three simultaneous streams, no limit on registered devices per subscription, 5.1 surround sound, Dolby Atmos, and select titles available in 4K.
