Dig Premiere Date and First Look From Peacock
Peacock has announced a November 23, 2026, premiere date for the Amy Poehler and Hugh Laurie comedy series Dig. The streaming service has also provided us with the first photos.
Dig follows a team of dedicated archaeologists (and less-dedicated college students) who spend their summer working on a dig site in Greece. Their discovery of a rare artifact sends them on the adventure of a lifetime.
The series stars Amy Poehler, Hugh Laurie, Geraldine Viswanathan, Antonia Thomas, and Fina Strazza. The guest cast includes Kayvan Novak, Jon Pointing, and Bonita Friedericy.
Produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, the series is an adaptation of Kate Myers’ bestseller Excavations.
Michael Schur and Amy Poehler, who previously teamed up on Parks and Recreation, co-wrote the pilot episode and executive produce the series. J.J. Philbin also serves as a writer and executive producer on the series. Schur and Philbin are the co-showrunners.
Morgan Sackett is executive producing, along with Dean Holland, Kate Arend and Jordan Grief for Paper Kite, Dave Becky and David Miner for 3 Arts, and Sharon Jackson for Ocean Avenue.
Author Kate Myers is co-executive producer of Dig, which consists of 10 episodes. Filming for the series began in January 2026 and wrapped in May.
The series is produced by Fremulon, Paper Kite, Duck Duck Films, Dunshire, 3 Arts, and Ocean Avenue. Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, is the studio behind the series.
