Clue Competition Series Announced by Netflix
Today, Netflix announced that it’s bringing Clue – the world’s most famous mystery board game from Hasbro – to life in a new unscripted competition series. Contestants will face physical and mental challenges to collect clues before stepping into a real-life game of deduction and deception.
To win, they’ll have to outwit opponents and identify the who, where, and with what of the crime. Guess right and add money to the prize pot; guess wrong and you may be eliminated.

With familiar suspects like Colonel Mustard, Miss Scarlett, and Professor Plum, viewers of the Clue competition series can expect suspense, surprises, and plenty of red herrings.
The production companies include Hasbro Entertainment, The Intellectual Property Corporation (IPC), and B17 Entertainment. IPC and B17 are both part of Sony Pictures Television.

Gabriel Marano and Zachary Edwin of Hasbro Entertainment; Eli Holzman and Aaron Saidman of IPC; and Rhett Bachner and Brien Meagher of B17 are the executive producers.
“Like so many families and friends over the years, we’ve gathered around the table trying to figure out who did it—making Clue a source of nostalgia that everyone shares,” said Jeff Gaspin, VP of Unscripted Series, Netflix. “Thanks to the incredible vision of our partners at Hasbro Entertainment, IPC, and B17, we’re delivering a fresh, imaginative whodunit competition that will invite today’s audiences into that iconic world.”

The development of the Clue competition series is part of Hasbro Entertainment’s ongoing strategy to elevate storytelling and produce films and series based on Hasbro’s most iconic brands, working with top talent, studios, and distribution platforms.
Clue is one of the most popular board games of all time, featuring an infamous cast of colorful characters, including Colonel Mustard and Miss Scarlett. Over the last 75 years, more than 150 million copies of the iconic mystery game have been sold, enjoyed by fans and amateur detectives worldwide.

Other active Hasbro Entertainment projects include a Dungeon & Dragons television series that is currently in development at Netflix, with Academy Award nominee Shawn Levy executive producing, and a deal with Margot Robbie’s LuckyChap and Lionsgate to produce a film based on Monopoly.
There’s also a live-action film and television universe adapted from Magic: The Gathering, produced alongside Legendary Entertainment, showrunner Terry Matalas’ animated Magic: The Gathering series, currently in production at Netflix, and game shows based on Trivial Pursuit and Scrabble, which were recently renewed for second seasons by The CW.
