Chad Powers Teaser Trailer Debuts During NBA Finals

A new teaser for Hulu’s upcoming half-hour comedy Chad Powers debuted during game four of the NBA Finals. The new series starring Glen Powell will premiere on September 30 with two episodes. New episodes stream weekly on Tuesdays.

In the series, when bad behavior nukes hotshot QB Russ Holliday’s college career, he disguises himself and walks onto a struggling Southern football team as the talented, affable Chad Powers.

The series stars Glen Powell as Russ Holliday/Chad Powers, Perry Mattfeld as Ricky, Quentin Plair as Coach Byrd, Wynn Everett as Tricia, Frankie A. Rodriguez as Danny, and Steve Zahn as Jake Hudson.

Based on the sketch produced by NFL Films and Omaha Productions that aired on ESPN+ as part of the Eli’s Places series, the comedy from 20th Television will stream on Hulu. Powell and Waldron co-wrote the pilot.

Powell and Michael Waldron are the co-creators and executive producers. Eli Manning serves as executive producer along with Omaha Productions’ Peyton Manning, Jamie Horowitz, Ben Brown, and ESPN.

Waldron and Adam Fasullo are executive producing for Anomaly Pictures. Luvh Rakhe will executive produce, and Tony Yacenda will serve as director and executive producer.

Powell is executive producing under his production co-banner, Barnstorm Productions. Barnstorm Productions’ credits include Hit Man (2023) and The Blue Angels (2024).

Powell’s credits also include Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over, Fast Food Nation, Scream Queens, Everybody Wants Some!!, Hidden Figures, Set It Up, Devotion, Top Gun: Maverick, Anyone But You, Hit Man, Twisters, and the upcoming The Running Man and Huntington.
