Netflix has shared the teaser trailer and poster for Atlas, the upcoming sci-fi thriller starring Jennifer Lopez. Directed by Brad Peyton, the film will be available on May 24, 2024.
In the movie, Atlas Shepherd (Jennifer Lopez), a brilliant but misanthropic data analyst with a deep distrust of artificial intelligence, joins a mission to capture a renegade robot with whom she shares a mysterious past. But when plans go awry, her only hope of saving humanity’s future from AI is to trust it.
Atlas is rated PG-13 for strong sci-fi violence, action, bloody images, and strong language by the MPA. Peyton directed the film from a script by Leo Sardarian and Aron Eli Coleite.
In addition to Jennifer Lopez (The Mother), the cast includes Simu Liu (Barbie), Sterling K. Brown (This Is Us), Gregory James Cohan (Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty), Abraham Popoola (Andor), Lana Parrilla (The Lincoln Lawyer), and Mark Strong (Kingsman: The Secret Service).
The producers include Brad Peyton and Jeff Fierson for ASAP Entertainment; Joby Harold and Tory Tunnell for Safehouse Pictures; Jennifer Lopez, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, and Benny Medina for Nuyorican Productions; and Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter for Berlanti/Schechter Films.
The executive producers for Netflix include Samson Mücke and Michael Riley McGrath.
