Animals Trailer and Key Art with Affleck and Washington
Netflix has released the official Animals trailer and key art, offering a new look at the upcoming action-crime thriller directed by Ben Affleck.
Opening in select theaters and streaming on Netflix on October 9, the film is rated R for language throughout, some violence, and sexual references.
In Animals, when their son is kidnapped, a Los Angeles mayoral candidate and his wife find themselves drawn into a web of deception. As they scramble to raise the ransom payment, they’re forced to make choices that could tear their world apart.
The film stars Ben Affleck (The Rip, Argo), Kerry Washington (The Six Triple Eight, Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery), Gillian Anderson (The Crown, The X-Files), Steven Yeun (BEEF, Minari), and Adriana Paz (Emilia Pérez, SPECTRE).
Luis Gerardo Méndez (Club de Cuervos, Murder Mystery), Ray Fisher (Justice League, The Piano Lesson), Mark Kassen (Puncture, PH-1), and Christopher Woodley (Our Son, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit) round out the cast.
Connor O. McIntyre, Billy Ray, and Ben Affleck wrote the script for the movie, which is produced in partnership with Artists Equity, the artist-led studio founded by Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, and Gerry Cardinale of RedBird Capital.
The movie is produced by Affleck, Damon, and Dani Bernfeld, alongside Brad Weston and Collin Creighton of Makeready.
The executive producers are Michael Beugg; Kevin Halloran and Michael Joe for Artists Equity; and Graham Taylor, Chris Rice, Christopher Slager, and Dan Guando for Fifth Season.
