Acorn TV August 2025 Schedule Announced

Acorn TV has announced the titles that will be available on the AMC-owned streaming service in August 2025. The Acorn TV August 2025 slate expands the service’s diverse lineup of acclaimed English and foreign-language dramas, engaging comedies, documentaries, and more.

The August schedule includes Acorn TV Original series Irish Blood and The Madame Blanc Mysteries Season 4, as well as the Acorn TV exclusives The Sommerdahl Murders Season 6 and Summertide.

ACORN TV AUGUST 2025 HIGHLIGHTS

Irish Blood (Acorn TV Original Series) – Two-Episode Premiere Monday, August 11; New Episodes Premiere Weekly Until The Season Finale on September 8
A new six-part murder mystery, Irish Blood focuses on Fiona (Alicia Silverstone), whose path in life is earmarked by her father, Declan (Jason O’Mara, The Man in the High Castle), who seemingly abandoned her and her mother on her tenth birthday.

After years of channeling anger toward him, to the benefit of her litigious clients, a message from her father sends her to Ireland. There, she learns key truths about her father as well as a family that doesn’t know she exists, and, moreover, that the story of abandonment that has shaped her entire life – was a lie.

A lie intended to protect her and her mother from her father’s shady business dealings. Fiona resolves to uncover the full truth about her father and reconnect with the parent she only thought she knew.

The Madame Blanc Mysteries Season 4 (Acorn TV Original Series) – New Episodes Every Monday Until The Season Finale on August 11
The fourth season of The Madame Blanc Mysteries returns to the wonderful world of Sainte Victoire, packed with unusual antiques and objéts d’art, murder, mystery, sunshine, and laughter.

Sally Lindsay (Coronation Street, Still Open All Hours, Cold Call) returns as Jean White, who is navigating a fledgling romance with her sidekick Dom Hayes, played by Steve Edge (Starlings, Murder They Hope, Maxine).

Co-writer Sue Vincent (Mount Pleasant, Shameless) stars as mechanic Gloria Beaushaw, while Robin Askwith (Strike, Benidorm) and Sue Holderness (Only Fools and Horses, Still Open All Hours, The Green Green Grass) reprise their roles as eccentric married couple Jeremy and Judith Lloyd James.

Alex Gaumond (Derry Girls, My Dinner With Hervé, Death In Paradise) is back as Chief of Police André Caron. Tony Robinson (Blackadder, Time Team) and Paul Chuckle (Elliott) complete the cast as Dom’s Uncle Patrick, a petty thief turned pub landlord, and Trevor, Gloria’s dad.

The Sommerdahl Murders Season 6 (Acorn TV Exclusive Series) – New Season Binge Premieres Monday, August 25
Three months have passed since Dan Sommerdahl (Peter Mygind) brought Josefine (Maibritt Saerens) home from prison, and she proposed to him. Everything seems to be happiness and peace, but that doesn’t last forever, and soon the chief investigator is faced with new murder mysteries and dilemma-filled choices.

Sommerdahl must now juggle solving cases in Helsingør while trying to balance the many roles in his life. How does one lead a homicide unit while being a fiancé, grandfather, father, friend, and perhaps even a stepfather?

Summertide (Acorn TV Exclusive Series) – New Episodes Every Monday Throughout the Summer
New South African drama centered on renowned marine biologist Martin Field (Frank Rautenbach), who, after losing his beloved wife Julia (Amalia Uys) to tragedy, leaves his old life behind and moves his rebellious teenage son and daughter to his childhood home in Simon’s Town to begin again.

With Julia’s memory as his driving force, he pours his heart into setting up a conservation trust to protect the marine life along the False Bay coast. Will he find calm in these waters or does his past hide painful secrets beneath the surface?
