Today, Netflix officially announced that XO, Kitty Season 2 is premiering globally on January 16, 2025. The cast took to the streets of Seoul, South Korea, for a fun social post to announce the news. Plus, get a first look at the cast in new photos from Season 2.
Teen matchmaker Kitty Song Covey is back in Seoul for a new semester at KISS. She’s single for the first time in a long time and ready for a fresh start: no more meddling, no more drama.
Maybe just some casual dating. Emphasis on casual. But she has more to worry about than her love life, as a letter from her mother’s past sets her on a wild journey, and new faces at KISS bring change.
As secrets unravel and bonds are tested, Kitty will learn that life, family, and love are more complicated than she ever imagined.
A refresher of what happened in XO, Kitty Season 1? Although Kitty arrived in Seoul convinced that her long-distance boyfriend, Dae (Minyeong), was her forever partner, her experiences at KISS changed everything.
Throughout Season 1, Kitty realized love can flourish in countless disparate ways — and “things are not always so simple,” Anna Cathcart told Netflix last year.
Clearly, Kitty’s first kiss was only the beginning. “By the end, she’s like, ‘I literally have no idea about anything. I am figuring it out. There are so many new people now that are a possibility,'” Cathcart said. “To see her world expand is a huge, huge difference and will be a really fun thing to follow.”
XO, Kitty Season 1 accumulated not only 72.1 million hours of viewing within its first week but also appeared in the Top 10 list for 90 countries.
Jessica O’Toole is the showrunner, executive producer, and writer of the Awesomeness Studios series. Creator Jenny Hang and Matt Kaplan of ACE Entertainment are the executive producers.
The cast includes Anna Cathcart (Kitty Song Covey), Minyeong Choi (Dae), Gia Kim (Yuri), Sang Heon Lee (Min Ho), Anthony Keyvan (Q), Regan Aliyah (Juliana), Peter Thurnwald (Alex), Philippe Lee (Mr. Moon), and Audrey Huynh (Stella), with Jocelyn Shelfo (Madison), Michael K.
