Wednesday Season Three Begins Production as Cast Is Revealed
Netflix today announced that Wednesday Season Three has started production in Dublin, Ireland, and revealed new cast members. The streaming service also released an announcement video for Wednesday Season Three.
Winona Ryder (Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Stranger Things), Chris Sarandon (Dog Day Afternoon, The Princess Bride), Noah Taylor (Peaky Blinders, Game of Thrones), Oscar Morgan (A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, Gotham Knights), Kennedy Moyer (Task, Roofman).

They join the previously announced Eva Green (Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, Dark Shadows), who will portray Morticia Addams’ sister, Ophelia, as well as returners Jenna Ortega (Wednesday Addams), Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia Addams), Luis Guzmán (Gomez Addams), and more.
Creators, showrunners, and executive producers Al Gough and Miles Millar told the Netflix blog Tudum, “It’s our dark delight to fling open Nevermore Academy’s gates once more as we begin production on Season Three. We thank our invincible cast and crew for their continued commitment to doom and gloom.

“To the fans, we appreciate your patience and ravenous online commentary – your twisted theories have inspired nightmares. This season, we welcome new students, new teachers, and excavate some long-rotting Addams Family secrets. Don’t say you weren’t warned.”
Executive producer and director Tim Burton also chimed in to say, “I’m so excited to be back for Season 3, and it’s great to be reunited with all of the original cast. The addition of some dear friends and past collaborators of mine-Winona, Eva, Chris, Noah…makes this season extra special. I feel very lucky.”

From the previous seasons, the returning cast includes Jenna Ortega (Wednesday Addams), Emma Myers (Enid Sinclair), Hunter Doohan (Tyler Galpin), Joy Sunday (Bianca Barclay), Moosa Mostafa (Eugene Ottinger), Georgie Farmer (Ajax Petropolus), Isaac Ordonez (Pugsley Addams), and Billie Piper (Isadora Capri).
Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo (Sheriff Ritchie Santiago), Victor Dorobantu (Thing), Evie Templeton (Agnes DeMille), Luis Guzmán (Gomez Addams), Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia Addams), Joanna Lumley (Grandmama Hester Frump), and Fred Armisen (Uncle Fester) round out the cast.

Wednesday premiered in 2022 and quickly became a record-breaking global phenomenon, reaching #1 on Netflix’s list of most popular English shows of all time and spending 20 weeks on the Global Top 10. The series is based on characters created by Charles Addams and reimagined for a new generation by visionary filmmaker Tim Burton.
The iconic dance scene inspired millions of TikTok recreations of Lady Gaga’s song “Bloody Mary,” sparking a 1,800% spike in Spotify streams and prompting Lady Gaga to join the show as a guest star in Season 2, which was announced during her captivating performance at Netflix Tudum 2025.
