Train Dreams Trailer Featuring Joel Edgerton Debuts
Netflix has released the official trailer and poster for Train Dreams, the upcoming drama that will open in select theaters on November 7. It will then begin streaming on Netflix on November 21.
Directed by Clint Bentley from a script he wrote with Greg Kwedar (the duo last worked together on the Oscar-nominated Sing Sing), the film drew raves out of the Sundance Film Festival and Toronto International Film Festival (it is currently at 98% on Rotten Tomatoes).

Based on Denis Johnson’s beloved novella, Train Dreams is the moving portrait of Robert Grainier, a logger and railroad worker who leads a life of unexpected depth and beauty in the rapidly changing America of the early 20th Century.
Narrated by Will Patton, the movie stars Joel Edgerton (Dark Matter), Felicity Jones, Nathaniel Arcand, Clifton Collins Jr., John Diehl, and Paul Schneider, with Kerry Condon and William H. Macy.

Rated PG-13 for some violence and sexuality, the film features a score composed by Academy Award nominee / multi-Grammy winner Bryce Dessner (The Two Popes, The Revenant).
“I think most of us will never have some great impact on history and yet we will lead very, very deep and beautiful lives,” said Clint Bentley previously.

He added, “There’s something very special about [Robert Grainier’s] story in that it is so specific to this one person’s life, and yet there’s a universality to it of a person trying to navigate a world that’s changing around them constantly — kind of leaving you behind, even as you’re still alive.”
The producers include Marissa McMahon, Teddy Schwarzman, William Janowitz, Ashley Schlaifer, and Michael Heimler. Joel Edgerton, Scott Hinckley, Greg Kwedar, and John Friedberg are the executive producers.
