The Pitt Series Renewed for a Second Season

The critically acclaimed Max Original medical drama The Pitt, from John Wells Productions and Warner Bros. Television, created by R. Scott Gemmill and starring Noah Wyle, has been renewed for a second season.

New episodes of the 15-episode first season of The Pitt series debut on Thursdays at 9:00 p.m. ET leading up to the season finale on April 10.

Since its debut, the new Max Original has landed and stayed as the streamer’s most-watched title globally, while earning positive reviews from critics, including a 93% critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes.

“It’s been a thrill to watch audiences embrace The Pitt as an update to procedural storytelling with a cast who authentically embody the heroics of doctors and nurses on shift in a 2025 emergency room,” said Sarah Aubrey, Head of Max Original Programming.

The Pitt series is a realistic examination of the challenges facing healthcare workers in today’s America as seen through the lens of the frontline heroes working in a modern-day hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Each episode follows an hour of Dr. Robby’s (Wyle) 15-hour shift as the chief attendant in Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Hospital’s emergency room.

The cast includes Noah Wyle as Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch, Tracey Ifeachor as Dr. Collins, Patrick Marron Ball as Dr. Langdon, Supriya Ganesh as Dr. Mohan, Fiona Dourif as Dr. McKay, Taylor Dearden as Dr. King, Isa Briones as Dr. Santos, Gerran Howell as Whitaker, Shabana Azeez as Javadi, and Katherine LaNasa as Dana Evans.
