The Murder of JonBenét Ramsey First Look
Netflix has revealed that the new limited series The Murder of JonBenét Ramsey will premiere globally on December 10, 2026, alongside an official first-look photo featuring two-time Emmy Award winner and Academy Award nominee Melissa McCarthy and Emmy and Academy Award nominee Clive Owen as Patsy and John Bennett Ramsey.
Academy Award-nominee Richard LaGravenese serves as showrunner, and Anne Sewitsky (Presumed Innocent) serves as a director and executive producer for the upcoming series. Harrison Query and Tommy Wallach, who co-wrote the series, also executive produce.
The Murder of JonBenét Ramsey centers on one of the most infamous unsolved murder cases in American history, and the devastating personal and public reckoning that followed the death of JonBenét Ramsey on Christmas night in 1996.
The cast also includes Emily Mitchell (JonBenét Ramsey), Garrett Hedlund (Det. Steve Thomas), Alison Pill (Det. Linda Arndt), Shea Whigham (Alex Hunter), Owen Teague (Shane Edwards), Clifton Collins Jr. (Det. Tom Trujillo), Angus Caldwell (Burke Ramsey), Jaime Ray Newman (Amelia Hunt), Rory Cochrane (John Eller), and Chris Bauer (Chief Tom Koby).
The additional cast includes Will Patton (Lou Smit), Jeremy Bobb (Pete Hofstrom), John Billingsley (Santa Bill McReynolds), Josh Stamberg (Reed Hunt), Margo Martindale (Nedra Paugh), and Tzi Ma (Dr. Henry Lee).
The executive producers also include Richard LaGravenese (Behind the Candelabra, Freedom Writers, A Family Affair) and Melissa McCarthy, as well as David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, and David Hutkin for 101 Studios.
