The End of Oak Street Tickets Go on Sale as New Promos Hit
Warner Bros. Pictures has announced that The End of Oak Street tickets are now on sale with a new trailer and promo posters.
The new sci-fi film from writer/director David Robert Mitchell and producer J.J. Abrams has been rated PG-13 by the Motion Picture Association (MPA) for some strong violent content, bloody images, some strong language, and suggestive material.
In the movie, after a mysterious cosmic event rips Oak Street from suburbia and transports their neighborhood to an unknown place, the Platt family soon discovers that their very survival depends on sticking together as they navigate their now-unrecognizable surroundings.
The End of Oak Street stars Anne Hathaway, Ewan McGregor, Maisy Stella, and Christian Convery.
The End of Oak Street – the first Filmed For IMAX title from director David Robert Mitchell – was developed in close collaboration with IMAX from the earliest stages of pre-production. Mitchell conducted camera tests and optimized the film’s visual presentation, creating a cinematic experience designed specifically for IMAX.
The film was shot with IMAX-certified digital cameras, capturing intricate visuals, atmospheric environments, and suspenseful moments with exceptional clarity and scale. It also features 44 minutes of IMAX’s exclusive 1.90:1 Expanded Aspect Ratio (EAR) – nearly half of the film’s 99-minute run time – delivering IMAX audiences more picture than anywhere else.
Throughout the film’s most suspenseful sequences, the picture expands to immerse audiences even deeper into the mystery surrounding Oak Street and its escalating encounters.
The film is written and directed by David Robert Mitchell (It Follows) and produced by J.J. Abrams, Hannah Minghella, Jon Cohen, David Robert Mitchell, Matt Jackson, and Tommy Harper. The executive producers are Chris Bender, Jake Weiner, Joanne Lee, and Leeann Stonebreaker.
Mitchell’s team behind the camera includes director of photography Michael Gioulakis, production designer Maya Shimoguchi, editor John Axelrad, composer Michael Giacchino, and costume designer Erin Benach.
Warner Bros. Pictures is presenting a production by Bad Robot and Jackson Pictures. The film will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures in theaters and IMAX in North America on August 14, 2026, and internationally beginning on August 12, 2026.
