The Day the Earth Blew Up to Begin Streaming on Max in June

Ketchup Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation’s The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie will make its streaming debut on Friday, June 27, exclusively on Max (soon to be rebranded back to HBO Max) in the U.S. The film will debut on HBO linear on Saturday, June 28 at 8:00 p.m. ET.

Porky Pig and Daffy Duck venture to the screen as unlikely heroes and Earth’s only hope when their antics at the local bubble gum factory uncover a secret alien mind control plot.

Faced with cosmic odds, the two are determined to save their town (and the world!)… that is, if they don’t drive each other totally looney in the process.

Released in theaters in March 2025, the film was rated PG by the Motion Picture Association (MPA) for cartoon violence/action and rude/suggestive humor.

From director Peter Browngardt and the creative team behind the award-winning Looney Tunes Cartoons comes a brand new buddy comedy starring one of the greatest comedic duos in history–Porky Pig and Daffy Duck.

With a runtime of 91 minutes, the richly crafted, hand-drawn 2D animated adventure marks the first fully animated feature-length film in Looney Tunes history, told on a scope and scale that’s truly out of this world.

The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie features the voices of Eric Bauza, Candi Milo, Peter MacNicol, Wayne Knight, and Laraine Newman.

Browngardt directed the film for Warner Bros. Animation and wrote the script with Darrick Bachman, Kevin Costello, Andrew Dickman, David Gemmill, Alex Kirwan, Ryan Kramer, Jason Reicher, Michael Ruocco, Johnny Ryan, Eddie Trigueros.

Michael Baum produced the movie, which was executive-produced by Pete Browngardt and Sam Register.

Alex Kirwan is the supervising producer, Nick Simotas is the editor, Nick Cross is the art director, and Aaron Spurgeon is the production designer. The music is by Joshua Moshier.
