The ‘Burbs Renewed for a Second Season at Peacock
Peacock has renewed its hit comedy series The ‘Burbs for a second season. The series has generated more than 1.7 billion viewing minutes on the streaming service since its Feb. 8 launch.
The ‘Burbs ranked as a top 10 streaming original season for four consecutive weeks based on Nielsen minutes viewed data. The series, which has been sold to more than 100 territories worldwide, is the No. 1 Peacock scripted season of all time in overall reach in its first 50 days.

·”We’re so thrilled that audiences loved season one of ‘The ‘Burbs,’ and are going to get to spend more time in Hinkley Hills with Keke and the rest of this incredible cast,” said Lisa Katz, President, Scripted Content, NBC & Peacock.
“A huge congratulations to all of the writers, producers, and crew who updated the beloved original film and made something funny, warm, and highly contemporary.”

Inspired by the 1989 horror-comedy film of the same name and set in present-day suburbia, The ‘Burbs follows a young couple who have reluctantly relocated to the husband’s childhood home.
Their world is upended when a new neighbor moves in across the street, bringing old secrets of the cul-de-sac to light, and new deadly threats shatter the illusion of their quiet little neighborhood.

The cast of the eight-episode mystery comedy series includes Keke Palmer, Jack Whitehall, Julia Duffy, Paula Pell, Mark Proksch, and Kapil Talwalkar. The series is written and executive-produced by creator Celeste Hughey and Rachel Shukert.
The executive producers also include Keke Palmer; Seth MacFarlane, Erica Huggins, and Aimee Carlson for Fuzzy Door; Brian Grazer, Kristen Zolner, and Natalie Berkus for Imagine Entertainment; and director Nzingha Stewart. Dana Olsen is the co-executive producer.
