Smile 2 Trailer Is Hopefully Not the Last Thing You’ll See

Paramount Pictures has released the new Smile 2 trailer and poster, which features the tagline, “It’s the Last Thing You’ll See.” The new installment opens in theaters on October 18, 2024.

Smile 2 is officially described as follows: “About to embark on a new world tour, global pop sensation Skye Riley (Naomi Scott) begins experiencing increasingly terrifying and inexplicable events. Overwhelmed by the escalating horrors and the pressures of fame, Skye is forced to face her dark past to regain control of her life before it spirals out of control.”

The film is a follow-up to Smile, which opened in theaters in 2022 and grossed an impressive $217.4 million worldwide, with $105.9 million coming from domestic theaters and $111.5 million from international markets.

The new movie was again written and directed by Parker Finn. The cast includes Naomi Scott, Rosemarie DeWitt, Kyle Gallner, Lukas Gage, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Peter Jacobson, Raúl Castillo, Dylan Gelula, and Ray Nicholson.

Paramount Pictures is presenting a Temple Hill production, which was produced by Marty Bowen, Wyck Godfrey, Isaac Klausner, Parker Finn, and Robert Salerno.

The first installment of the psychological thriller franchise starred Sosie Bacon, Jessie T. Usher, Kyle Gallner, Robert Weigert, Caitlin Stasey, Kal Penn, and Rob Morgan.

In that film, after witnessing a bizarre, traumatic incident involving a patient, Dr. Rose Cotter (Sosie Bacon) starts experiencing frightening occurrences that she can’t explain. As an overwhelming terror begins taking over her life, Rose must confront her troubling past to survive and escape her horrifying new reality.

Smile was rated R for strong violent content, grisly images, and language.
