Passenger Trailer and Poster Released by Paramount
Paramount Pictures has released the official trailer and poster for Passenger, a supernatural horror film opening in theaters on May 22, 2026.
In the film, after a young couple witnesses a gruesome highway accident, they soon realize they did not leave the crash scene alone, as a demonic presence called the Passenger that won’t stop until it claims them both turns their van life adventure into a nightmare.
Passenger is directed by André Øvredal, who is known for the films Trollhunter (2010), The Autopsy of Jane Doe (2016), Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark (2019), and The Last Voyage of the Demeter (2023).
The film, which began principal photography in January 2025, stars Jacob Scipio, Lou Llobell, and Melissa Leo.
Paramount Pictures is presenting, in association with Domain Entertainment, an 18Hz and Coin Operated production.
Produced by Walter Hamada and Gary Dauberman, the movie’s executive producers include Jenny Hinkey, Nathan Samdahl, Pete Chiappetta, Anthony Tittanegro, and Andrew Lary.
Passenger was written by Zachary Donohue and T.W. Burgess. It features a score by Christopher Young.
The film has not yet been rated by the Motion Picture Association (MPA).
