Onslaught Trailer Reveals the Adam Wingard Film

Fresh off its explosive reception at San Diego Comic-Con, A24 has released the official trailer for Onslaught, Adam Wingard’s new ferocious slasher opening in theaters and IMAX on September 4, 2026.

Onslaught has been rated R by the Motion Picture Association (MPA) for strong bloody violence, some gore, sexual material/nudity, and language.

In the movie, directed by Adam Wingard, a rogue squad of genetically engineered super soldiers breaks loose in the desert, and a badass Army sniper must unleash hell to protect her young daughter.

Onslaught stars Adria Arjona, Dan Stevens, Eric Wareheim, Reginald VelJohnson, Michael Biehn, Alex Pereira, with Drew Starkey and Rebecca Hall. The screenplay, by Simon Barrett, is based on a story by Wingard and Barrett.

Principal photography for the film began in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in November 2024, and filming wrapped in January 2026.

Adam Wingard’s credits include You’re Next (2011), The Guest (2014), Blair Witch (2016), Death Note (2017), Godzilla vs. Kong (2021), and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (2024).
