Only Murders in the Building Season 4 Given the Green Light

Hulu announced today that the streaming service has given the green light to Only Murders in the Building Season 4. With the writers’ strike now behind us, the writers room for Only Murders in the Building Season 4 will come together soon.

Season three of the Emmy-nominated series found Charles, Oliver & Mabel (played by Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez) investigating a murder behind the scenes of a Broadway show.

Ben Glenroy (Paul Rudd) is a Hollywood action star whose Broadway debut is cut short by his untimely death.

Aided by co-star Loretta Durkin (Meryl Streep), our trio embarked on their toughest case yet, all while director Oliver desperately attempted to put his show back together.

Only Murders in the Building Season 4 hails from co-creators and writers Steve Martin and John Hoffman (Grace & Frankie, Looking).

Martin and Hoffman executive produce along with Martin Short, Selena Gomez, This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman and Jess Rosenthal. The Hulu series is produced by 20th Television, a part of Disney Television Studios.

The series has received nominations for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series and for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for Steve Martin and Martin Short.

For the first season of the series, Rotten Tomatoes reported a 100% approval rating based on 107 critic reviews. The website’s critics consensus reads: “Only Murders in the Building’s silly approach to true crime obsessives is at once hilarious and insightful, thanks in large part to its extremely charming central trio.”

The second season received a 98% approval rating based on 115 critic reviews: The critics consensus reads: “Only Murders in the Building gets a new lease on life with a knottier sophomore outing that retains the series’ core charm and wit.”

And the third season received a 96% approval rating based on 105 critic reviews. The consensus reads: “Relocating the action to the theatre, Only Murders in the Building can take a bow for yet another twisty mystery handled with a good-humored touch.”
