MGM+ October 2026 Schedule Announced
MGM+ has announced the titles set to arrive on the premium linear channel and streaming service in October. The MGM Plus October 2026 lineup includes the premiere of Treasure Island, as well as new episodes of American Hostage and A Tale of Two Cities.

SERIES
Treasure Island
The high-stakes series premieres on Sunday, October 11 on MGM+
Treasure Island follows teenager Jim Hawkins and his formidable mother, Bess, as they’re drawn into a deadly race for the treasure of the infamous Captain Flint.
Battling for control are Long John Silver—a ruthless survivor who is just as charming as he is cunning —and Aaron Graham, a revolutionary spy seeking to use the gold to upend colonial power. Set in 1788 across storm-battered Cornwall, treacherous seas, and a jungle island soaked in secrets, this is Treasure Island reimagined as a thrilling, immersive, and character-driven epic.
Treasure Island stars David Oyelowo, Hayley Atwell, Jack Huston, Tomer Capone, and Tom Sweet. The series was created by Robert Murphy and is produced by Mark Hedges.
The directors include Jeremy Lovering, William McGregor, and Paul Walker. The executive producers are Colin Callender, David Stern, Scott Huff, Daniel Gratton, Robert Murphy, and Jeremy Lovering.
A Tale of Two Cities
The finale of the limited series premieres on Sunday, October 4, at 10:00 pm ET/PT
London, 1782. Tensions run high in the war between France and Britain. A young woman, Lucie Manette (Mirren Mack), has her life upended when she receives a message from Paris – her father, assumed dead for almost 20 years, may be alive.
The messenger – idealistic French emigré Charles Darnay (François Civil) – is arrested and charged with treason. Lucie enlists the help of a brilliant but erratic young lawyer, Sydney Carton (Kit Harington), to free Darnay in the hope he will lead her to Paris to track down her father.
Lucie’s collision with Darnay and Carton unleashes a powerful and complex love triangle. Both men fight to be worthy of her love, and Lucie is torn over which one to choose. Yet neither man – physically so alike, spiritually poles apart – can escape the other. Instead, they find themselves bound together in life and death, through triumphs, tragedies, marriage, and murder.
The series was created and written by Daniel West, directed by Richard Clark, produced by Federation Stories and Simon Meyers, and co-produced by Federation Studio France and Thriker Films, for MGM+ and the BBC.
The executive producers include Polly Williams and Sarah Best for Federation Stories, Léo Becker for Federation Studio France, and Kit Harington and Daniel West for Thriker Films. The series is distributed by Federation International.

American Hostage

Based on the acclaimed first season of the scripted podcast of the same name, American Hostage is a psychological thriller set in the 1970s inspired by the harrowing true story of Fred Heckman, a beloved Indianapolis radio reporter who is thrust into the middle of a life-or-death crisis when hostage-taker Tony Kiritsis demands to be interviewed on his popular radio news program.
The series stars Jon Hamm, Giovanni Ribisi, Mireille Enos, Kristoffer Polaha, William Jackson Harper, Jonathan Tucker, and Kat Cunning. Shawn Ryan and Eileen Myers are the co-creators, co-showrunners, and executive producers. The executive producers also include Jon Hamm, Connie Tavel, Marney Hochman, Sharon Hoffman, Shawn Christensen, and Gabriel Mason. Sony Pictures Television is the studio.
