It’s Not Like That Trailer and Key Art Debut
Wonder Project has released the official trailer and key art for It’s Not Like That, the family series that will premiere with the first two episodes on Wonder Project’s subscription on Prime Video on January 25. Starring Scott Foley, subsequent episodes of the eight-episode season will debut weekly thereafter.
Wonder Project will also sample the first episode on Prime Video for all subscribers on January 25, with a global release on Prime Video to follow at a later date.

It’s Not Like That follows Malcolm (Scott Foley), a pastor who is a recently widowed dad of three. Lori (Erinn Hayes) is newly divorced with two teens.
Their families once did everything together, but now Malcolm and Lori must navigate their newly minted singledom, parenthood, and the complexities of Malcolm’s role as a modern-day pastor. Is this the beginning of a love story? It’s not like that. Or is it?

The additional cast includes J.R. Ramirez (David Soto), Caleb Baumann (Merritt Soto), Cary Christopher (Justin Jeffries), Leven Miranda (Flora Jeffries), Liv Lindell (Casey Soto), and Cassidy Paul (Penelope Jeffries).
From Ian Deitchman and Kristin Robinson, known for beloved classics like Life As We Know It and Parenthood, the series blends modern family drama with themes of connection, second chances, and navigating life after major transitions.

“It’s Not Like That is a story about hope, and finding light after loss, rebuilding families and exhibiting grace in the most uncertain circumstances,” said series creators, executive producers, and writers Ian Deitchman and Kristin Robinson.
“There is a powerful dynamic around what we all choose to hold onto when everything around us is falling apart, and how we find our way back – something we hope audiences will relate to and love.”

It’s Not Like That was created by Ian Deitchman and Kristin Robinson, who also serve as showrunners alongside executive producer Garrett Lerner. Amazon MGM Studios produces the series.
The additional executive producers include Jon Erwin, Justin Rosenblatt, and Jon Gunn for Wonder Project, Scott Foley, Brad Silberling, and Alex Goldstone (Dickinson) for 42 & Anonymous Content and Kingdom Story Company.
